Zhanggutai, subordinate to Zhangwu County, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southern edge of Horqin sandy land, adjacent to Sihe town in the East, Dade town in the southeast, Fengjia town in the south, Daling Mongolian Township in the southwest, Horqin Left wing rear banner in the west, and aer Township in the north, with an administrative area of 260 square kilometers.
It was originally the territory of Horqin Left Wing Front Banner. In 1949, it belonged to the Tenth District. In 1956, when the township was designated, it was Dongzhang gutai township. In 1958, after the establishment of the commune, it became Zhanggutai commune. At the beginning of 1984, gutai town was changed. By the end of 2018, 13156 households registered residence in Zhang Gu Tai town. As of June 2020, Zhanggutai town has jurisdiction over six administrative villages, and the people's Government of Zhanggutai town is located in this street.
