Liaotun town

Liaotun Town, belonging to Beizhen City, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, is located in the south of Beizhen City, bordering Datun Township in the East, Goubangzi street in the south, baojiaxiang town and changxingdian town in the west, luoluobao town and Liaocheng town in the north, with an administrative area of 101.34 square kilometers.

In 1932, liaotun village was established in Beizhen county. In 1995, liaotun township was transformed into a town. In 2002, Caotun township was incorporated into liaotun town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Liao Tun Town was 36258. As of June 2020, liaotun town has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in liaotun village.

History of construction

In 1932, it was the village office of liaotun, belonging to Beizhen county.

In 1938, Dazu village office was set up.

In 1946, baogongsuo was set up, belonging to Dazu Township Office.

In 1948, 10 peasant associations were established. Guangning station peasant association belonged to one district; liaotun, luotun, Dongzhu, Xiaozu, shentun and daliangjia peasant associations belonged to six districts; Santaizi, Xinglong and Shuanghe peasant associations belonged to seven districts.

In 1949, the village was established.

In 1958, it belonged to Changxing commune.

In 1961, liaotun commune was established.

In December 1969, the Revolutionary Committee of the commune was established.

In 1983, liaotun commune was transformed into a township.

In 1984, liaotun township was renamed liaotun Manchu Township.

In 1990, liaotun township was restored.

In 1995, liaotun township was transformed into a town.

In 2002, Caotun township was merged into liaotun town.
