Senior official town

Gaoguan Town, subordinate to Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, Benxi City, Liaoning Province, is located in the north of Benxi Manchu Autonomous County. It is adjacent to Qinghe town and small town in the county in the East and south, Gaotaizi town and niuxintai street in Mingshan District, Benxi City in the west, and Fushun County in Fushun City in the north. It covers an area of 429.97 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Gao Guan town was 21938.

On September 20, 1958, Pianling district was transformed into pianling paradise commune. On September 7, 1989, Benxi Manchu Autonomous County was established and renamed pianling Township and Gaoguan township. In 1991, pianling town and Gaoguan Township were established. On February 10, 2006, Gaoguan Township and pianling town merged into Gaoguan town. As of June 2020, Gaoguan town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 14 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Gaoguan town is located at 65 pianling street, pianling village.

In 2018, there were 54 industrial enterprises in Gaoguan Town, including 10 industrial enterprises above Designated Size and 51 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In 1945, most of pianling belonged to Benxi county, some belonged to niuxintai district and Shiqiaozi District, and Gaoguan District belonged to Gelao District of Fushun County.

In October 1948, it belonged to niuxintai district.

In 1949, Pianling district was established. Senior officials and pianling belong to the same district.

On September 20, 1958, Pianling district was transformed into pianling paradise commune.

In February 1962, pianling paradise commune was divided into pianling commune and Gaoguan commune.

In 1966, the Revolutionary Committee of pianling commune and the Revolutionary Committee of senior officials commune were established.

In 1979, the Revolutionary Committee of the commune was changed into the Management Committee of the commune.

In February 1984, pianling commune and Gaoguan commune were changed into townships.

In September 1985, it was renamed pianling Manchu Township and Gaoguan Manchu Township.

On September 7, 1989, Benxi Manchu Autonomous County was established and renamed pianling Township and Gaoguan township.

In 1991, pianling town and Gaoguan Township were established.

On February 10, 2006, Gaoguan Township and pianling town merged into Gaoguan town.

Gaoguan town is located in the north of Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, adjacent to Qinghe town and town in the East and south, Gaotaizi town and niuxintai street in Mingshan District of Benxi City in the west, and Fushun County of Fushun City in the north. It covers an area of 429.97 square kilometers.

topographic features

The terrain of Gaoguan town is higher in the East, North and south, and lower in the West. There are five mountains above 500 meters above sea level, namely laohuangling, longwanding, Bangchui, Jiguan and Yingzui. Generally, the altitude is about 195 meters, and the lowest point is at the exit of Taizi River in Sanhe Village, with an altitude of 120 meters.

Gaoguan town belongs to temperate continental monsoon climate, which is characterized by four distinct seasons, cold and long winter, with north wind and northwest wind in the majority; hot and short summer, with south wind and southeast wind in the majority; less rain and more wind in spring; sunny and mild autumn. The rainfall is concentrated from July to August, with an average annual precipitation of 850mm. The extreme minimum temperature is - 28 ℃, and the extreme maximum temperature is 33 ℃. The annual average temperature is 7.2 ℃, and the frost free period is 135 days.

In the total population, there are 11105 males, accounting for 51.7%, and 10390 females, accounting for 48.3%.
