Xiaochangshan Island town, subordinate to Changhai County, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, is located in the middle sea area of Changshan Islands. It faces Haiyang island in the southeast, Zhangzi Island in the South and dachangshan island in the north. The administrative area of the town is 27.57 square kilometers.
In June 1958, the three townships of xiaochangshan, wumang and Qingchang were merged into xiaochangshan township. In September of the same year, xiaochangshan commune was established. In October 1983, the commune was withdrawn and xiaochangshan township was built. In 2017, it was changed to xiaochangshan Island town. By the end of 2018, the population of small Changshan Island registered residence was 12222. As of June 2020, xiaochangshan Island town has jurisdiction over six administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in guojiamiaotun, Huilong village.
