Jiuxian street, belonging to Tongliang District of Chongqing, is located in the northeast of Tongliang District, bordering Batang town of Bishan District in the East, Pulu town in the south, Erping town in the west, and Nanjing street of Hechuan District in the north. It is 16 km away from the people's Government of Tongliang District, with a maximum distance of 11 km from east to west and 9.5 km from north to south, covering a total area of 79.6 square kilometers.
During the period from Chang'an of Tang Dynasty to the second year of Jiaxi of Southern Song Dynasty (about 701-1238), Bachuan county was in charge; in 2015, it was changed from old county town to old county street. At the end of 2011, the total population of Jiuxian street was 51445. As of June 2020, Jiuxian street has jurisdiction over 3 communities and 17 administrative villages, and its sub district office is located at 32 Xinhua Road, Jinzhong community.

History of construction
During the period from Chang'an of Tang Dynasty to the second year of Jiaxi of Southern Song Dynasty (about 701-1238), Bachuan county was in charge.

After 1949, it was the second district office.
Before June 1986, it was an old county and township; after July of the same year, it was withdrawn and built into an old county and town.
In January 1994, shigu and Lancao townships were merged into Jiuxian town.
In October 2006, Yongqing township was merged into Jiuxian town.
