Halabra Township, subordinate to Yumin County, Tacheng Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of Yumin County, bordering Xindi Township in the East, baluke mountain in the south, Tuoli County in the south, jiangges Township in the west, and Emin County in the north, with a total area of 442.33 square kilometers.
In October 1952, it became a district; in 1984, it was changed into halabra township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of 7927 people was in the village. In 2019, there will be six villages under its jurisdiction.

In 1958, Dongfeng commune was rebuilt.
In 1980, it was renamed halabra commune.
