Wulanbai Town, belonging to Lingyuan City, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southeast of Lingyuan City. It borders on guandahai farm of karaqin left-wing Mongolian Autonomous County in the East, Siguanyingzi town and kunduyingzi township of karaqin left-wing Mongolian Autonomous County in the south, Sanjiazi Village of Wafangdian Township in the west, dayingzi Township and Jinhuashan forest farm of karaqin left-wing Mongolian Autonomous County in the north The area is 91.08 square kilometers, and as of 2018, the number of registered residence was 13205.
In 1945, it belonged to the Siguanyingzi District Office of Lingyuan county. In 1956, West wulanbai township was established. In 1970, wulanbai commune was set up, and later the commune was changed to township. In 1999, wulanbai township was merged into Wafangdian township. In 2000, the ulanbai office was established. In 2002, it was changed to wulanbai town. As of June 2020, wulanbai town has eight administrative villages.
