Langan Township, belonging to Huocheng County, Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Huocheng County, adjacent to Shuiding town in the East, Huiyuan town in the south, sandaohe Township and liangfanchang in the west, Sangong Township and SALBULAK town in the north, with a total administrative area of 246 square meters.
On January 18, 1966, it was assigned to Huocheng County; in November 1984, it was changed to Langan township. By the end of 2018, the population of Langan Township registered residence was 27426. In June 2020, Langan township has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of Langan township was 16.471 million yuan. In 2018, there were 10 industrial enterprises in Langan Township, including one above scale and 11 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
October commune was established in 1958.
On January 18, 1966, it was assigned to Huocheng county.
In 1978, it was renamed Langan commune.
In November 1984, it was changed to Langan township.
