Wafangkou town belongs to Zhashui County, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the south of Zhashui, the middle and lower reaches of Jinjing River, bordering hongyansi town in the East, Xingping town in the south, Fenghuang town in the West and Caoping town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 13 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 18 kilometers, with a total area of 199.7 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

It is named because it is located at the mouth of Wafang gully.

In 1958, wafangkou commune was established and put under Zhen'an County.

In 1961, it returned to Zhashui County.

In 1984, it was changed to wafangkou township.

In June 2011, majiatai Township and wafangkou Township were abolished and wafangkou town was merged.
