Langan Township, belonging to Korla City, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Korla City. It is connected with qiarbage Township in the East, Yingxia Township and sayidun horticultural farm in the south, heshilik Township in the West and 29th regiment of the second agricultural division of Xinjiang production and Construction Corps in the north. It is 3km away from Korla municipal government, with a total area of 35.94km2 .
In 1961, Langan commune was established; in December 1984, Langan township was established by withdrawing the commune. In 2019, Langan village will have five administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's government will be stationed in Langan village.

History of construction
In 1961, Langan commune, xiahu commune and wenlati commune were set up from heshilik commune and qiarbage commune respectively.
In April 1984, Korla county was merged into Korla City, and in December of the same year, Langan township was established.
