Jianguo Road

Jianguo Road, the East extension of Chang'an Street in Beijing, runs through the central and southern part of Chaoyang District, starting from Baliqiao (Yongtong bridge) in Tongzhou District in the East and reaching Guomao Bridge (formerly DABEIYAO bridge) in Chaoyang District in the West. It is named because it lives outside the gate of the founding of the people's Republic of China.

Jianguo Road is the extension of East Chang'an Street and the east section of the east-west axis of Beijing. There are many intersections. The intersection with xidawang road is generally called BaWangfen, and the intersection with DABEIYAO is generally called DABEIYAO (today's international trade). DABEIYAO to BaWangfen used to be the east section of Jianguomenwai street and the west section of Jianguo Road. There are many factories, including Beijing General brewery, winery, northern boiler factory, Beijing thermal power plant, Beijing Instrument Factory, Beijing No.6 automobile repair factory, Dongfang die casting factory, socks factory, etc. together with the west section of Jianguomenwai street, it is the former industrial zone of Beijing.

Historical evolution

Jianguo Road was completed in 1955 and rebuilt in 1965. In the 1990s, the east of Dawang bridge was changed into an expressway, which was completed at the end of 1995 and called Jingtong expressway.
