Jiamao Town, subordinate to Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County of Hainan Province, is located in the southeast of Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County, adjacent to Liugong Township in the East, Sandao town in the south, Sanya in the southeast, Xinzheng town in the West and Baocheng town in the north, with an administrative area of 233.4 square kilometers.

In 1948, Jiamao township was established. In 1958, Jiamao commune was established. In 1983, the district office was changed. In 1987, Jiamao town was established. By the end of 2018, 25738 households in the town of Jia Mao had registered residence. As of June 2020, Jiamao town has jurisdiction over one community and six administrative villages.
