Xingping Township

Xingping Township, Yuli County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Yuli County.

In September 2018, Xingping township was selected into the demonstration construction list of strong agricultural towns.

geographical position

Xingping township of Yuli County is located in the east of Yuli County, adjacent to aksufu Township in the East, Tuanjie Township in the south, gulebage Township in the West and Xinier town in the north, 1km away from the county seat. In 2002, it has jurisdiction over 6 administrative villages, 28 villagers' groups, 6 residents' committees, 13 agriculture related stations, with a total population of 11977 (2017), and a total area of 2670.03 square kilometers. Xingping township is dominated by agriculture, supplemented by animal husbandry, with cotton as the main crop and sheep as the main animal husbandry.

Economic construction and development

In 2002, the GDP of the whole township was 70.6224 million yuan. Among them, the first industry was 663.154 million yuan; the second industry was 2.945 million yuan, an annual growth of 6%; the third industry was 4.5233 million yuan, an annual growth of 2.32% in 2001. The annual per capita income of farmers and herdsmen was 4270.26 yuan, 172 yuan more than that in 2001. The sown area of grain is 2200 mu, with a total output of 723.8 tons, an increase of 32% over 2001; the sown area of cotton is 52000 mu, with a total output of 6864 tons, an increase of 5.4% over 2001; the sown area of fruits and vegetables is 540 mu, with a total output of 1080 tons, an increase of 17% over 2001; the sown area of oil is 2 tons. At the end of the year, there were 25000 livestock in stock. The total meat output was 554 tons, an increase of 54% over 2001. The gross output was 20 tons and the milk output was 22 tons. There were 203 breeding households and 87 fattening households. The total output value of animal husbandry was 7.9525 million yuan. The total afforestation area is 627 mu, and 250000 trees are planted, including 4800 mu of fruit area and 4080 mu of fruiting area.
