Honghe Town, subordinate to Lixian County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the northeast of Lixian County. History of construction

Honghe town is named after the town government's residence in Honghe village.

In the Qing Dynasty, it was called muyili.

Henghe township was established in July 1941.

In April 1961, Henghe township was changed into Honghe commune.

In August 1983, it was restored to Honghe township.

In 2018, Honghe township was changed from township to town.
