Nangu town
Nangu Town, subordinate to Minle County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, is located at the westernmost end of Minle county. It is connected with Xintian town in the East, MATI Tibetan Autonomous township of Sunan County in the south, Anyang township of Ganzhou District in the West and Heping township of Ganzhou District in the north. It covers an area of 225.2 square kilometers. In 2018, the registered residence of the southern town was 27305.
In 1913, it was subordinate to dongle county. In 1929, after dongle county was renamed Minle County, it was subordinate to Minle county. In October 1949, nangu township was set up, belonging to Muhua district. In 1983, it was changed into nangu township. In December 2000, the township was withdrawn to build nangu town. In October 2004, Yangfang township was merged into nangu town. As of June 2020, nanguzhen has jurisdiction over 25 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Chengdong village.
In 2018, there were 4 industrial enterprises and 65 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in nangu town.
Historical evolution
In the Sixteen States of the Eastern Jin Dynasty and the northern and Southern Dynasties, LinSong county was set up, belonging to Qianliang.
In the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty, it was renamed nangucheng, belonging to Ganzhou.
In 1644, the first year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty, the garrison was set up in the South ancient city, which belongs to dongleting.
Qianlong eight years (1743), after the establishment of dongle County, under the Ganzhou Prefecture.
In 1906, nangutao was renamed nangutai.
In 1913, it was subordinate to dongle county.
In 1929, after dongle county was renamed Minle County, it was subordinate to Minle county.
In October 1949, nangu township was set up, belonging to Muhua district.
In 1952, nangu district was established.
In 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into nangu township.
In 1958, the satellite commune was established. In the same year, Minle and Shandan counties merged and became subordinate to fengle commune.
After Minle and Shandan were divided into counties in 1962, nangu commune was established.
In 1966, it was renamed Red Star commune.
In 1970, nangu commune was restored.
In 1983, it was changed into nangu township.
In December 2000, the township was withdrawn to build nangu town.
In October 2004, Yangfang township was merged into nangu town.

By the end of 2011, nanguzhen had 25 villagers' committees including Chengdong, chajiapu, Chengnan, MATI, Liugu, gaohao, Jinghui, zhougezhuang, gandian, Yancheng, pengliu, zuoweizhai, Dongzhu, Xizhu, Tianzhuang, zuoweiying, Hezhuang, Yangfang, Wangzhuang, shanghuayuan, Xiahuayuan, Maocheng, kezhai, Chuangye and heiyatou, and 155 villagers' groups.
As of June 2020, nanguzhen has jurisdiction over 25 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Chengdong village.

Nangu town is located at the westernmost end of Minle County, connecting Xintian town in the East, MATI Tibetan Autonomous township of Sunan County in the south, Anyang township of Ganzhou District in the West and Heping township of Ganzhou District in the north. topographic features
The terrain of nanguzhen is high in the West and low in the East. The terrain is divided into mountain and inclined plateau. The inclined plateau area starts from the northern margin of the great fault in the south, and the Piedmont primary and secondary alluvial fans formed by the accumulation of rivers such as suyoukou River and daduma River connect with Ganzhou plain. The highest point is located in chajiapu village, with an altitude of 2391 meters; the lowest point is located in heiyatou village, with an altitude of 1758 meters.

Nanguzhen has a temperate continental climate, with an average temperature of 3.3 ℃ for many years and - 12.5 ℃ in January and 17 ℃ in July. The annual average growth period is 180 days, and the annual average frost free period is 130 days. The annual average sunshine hours are 2900 hours. The annual average precipitation is 300 mm.
