Lijiang Town, subordinate to Xingan County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the north of Xingan County, connecting Taoxi Township in the East, shenzhengqiao Township and Jinchuan town in the south, Ganjiang River in the west, across the river from Hepu Township, and Oceania town in the north. The township is 12.8 km long from east to west, 11.9 km wide from north to south, with a total area of 100.8 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 76 natural villages, and 107 villager groups. It will be established in 2019 The total population is 20800.
In Lijiang Town, the Beijing Kowloon Railway, national highway 105 and Ganjiang waterway run through the whole Township in the shape of "Sichuan", known as "granary, economic zone and hometown of ten thousand mu watermelon".

Historical evolution
In 2000, there were 82 natural villages in Lijiang Township, including 10 administrative villages and 88 village groups in Huangshan, Shikou, xibian, taowan, Kanshang, Tangjia, Duibai, Zhuangli, Lixi and Cangzhou.
On September 7, 2012, the reply of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Civil Affairs on Approving the removal of Lijiang Township in Xingan County to establish a town (GMZ No. 120): with the approval of the provincial people's government, it is agreed to cancel Lijiang Township in Xingan County and establish Lijiang town. The newly established administrative area of Lijiang town remains the same as that of Lijiang Township, and the town government is stationed in the original township government.
