Luyang town
Luyang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Jingtai County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the east of Jingtai County, adjacent to the Yellow River and Jingyuan County in the East, adjacent to Zhongquan Township in the south, Xiquan town in the southwest, Jingtai County in the northwest and Wufo Township in the Northeast, with a total administrative area of 340.61 square kilometers.
Luyang town originally belonged to Jingyuan County; in 1933, it belonged to Jingtai County. In June 1985, it was changed into Luyang town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Lu Yang town was 27587. In June 2020, Luyang town governs 13 administrative villages.
The main food crops in Luyang town are wheat and corn; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, sheep and poultry. In 2018, Luyang town had 17 industrial enterprises and 52 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Luyang town originally belonged to Jingyuan County.
In 1933, it belonged to Jingtai County. Luyang city was designated as the county seat.
In 1940, Luyang township was built.
On October 15, 1949, Luyang District was established.
In July 1950, it was renamed as a district and the Department was changed to an office.
At the beginning of 1955, the first district was changed to Luyang District; in October of the same year, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged.
In 1956, Luyang township was changed into a town and Tiaoshan township was added.
In 1958, Luyang commune was established.
In October 1961, it was divided into Luyang commune and Xiangshui commune.
In 1965, Xiangshui commune was merged into Luyang commune.
In June 1985, it was changed to Luyang town.
