Xinglin town belongs to Jimei District, Xiamen City, Fujian Province. It is located in Xiamen, the beautiful Heron Island, and Jimei, the hometown of overseas Chinese Chen Jiageng. Before 2003, Xinglin town became Xinglin District, and after 2003, it became Xinglin Town, belonging to Jimei District. Xinglin town includes the whole area of Malan, Zhengxin, Guanren and Xiting. Xinglin town covers an area of 24.7 square kilometers and has a population of 63000.
