Nima town

It is located in the south of Gansu Province, adjacent to the Tibetan Autonomous Township, ganiqu County in the northeast of Gansu Province. The area is 601.1 square kilometers. In 2018, 15359 people registered residence.

In 1958, NIMA township was established at the beginning, and in October of the same year, it was changed into a commune. In February 1962, it was changed into NIMA township. At the end of 1968, it was changed into a commune. In 2003, it was withdrawn from the township to build a town. In June 2020, NIMA town governs 2 communities and 4 administrative villages.

Historical evolution

In 1958, NIMA township was established at the beginning, and in October of the same year, it was changed into a commune.

By the end of 2011, NIMA town had two residents' committees of zhuoge and NIMA, four villagers' committees of Gongma, Sahe, xiuma and ouerma, and 20 villagers' groups.

In June 2020, NIMA town governs two communities: NIMA community and zhuoge community, four administrative villages: Gongma village, xiuma village, waerma village and Sahe village, and the people's Government of NIMA town is stationed in NIMA community.

Nima town is located in the northeast of Maqu County, bordering Gahai township of Luqu County in the East, Ruoergai County of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province in the south, xiamai Township and Oula Township in the northwest, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous County in Qinghai Province and Henan Mongolian Autonomous County in the northwest.
