Zhanggao town
Zhanggao Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Xinghe County, Wulanchabu City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of Xinghe County, adjacent to Chengguan town in the East, dianzi town in the south, longshengzhuang town in Fengzhen City in the West and Erdong town in the north, with an administrative area of 263.95 square kilometers.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was the main road leading to the imperial city of Beijing in the Mongolian and naturalized areas, and the transportation hub connecting the frontier and the mainland. In 1775, it was named Zhanggao Town, where Gaomiaozi was stationed. In August 1984, Zhanggao commune was changed into a town. In March 2006, datongtian township was merged into Zhanggao town. By the end of 2018, the population of Zhang Gao's registered residence was 21572. As of June 2020, Zhanggao town has 10 administrative villages.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Zhanggao town was 3400 yuan. In 2018, Zhanggao town has 5 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was the main road leading to the imperial city of Beijing in the Mongolian and naturalized areas, and the transportation hub connecting the frontier and the mainland.
In 1775, it was named Zhanggao town. Gaomiaozi was moved here.
In the early days of liberation, it was assigned to Fengzhen county.
In January 1950, it was transferred to Xinghe County.
In 1953, Zhanggao town was established.
In August 1958, it was changed into Zhanggao commune.
In August 1984, Zhanggao commune was transformed into a town.
In March 2006, Datong Tianxiang was merged into Zhanggao town.

By the end of 2011, Zhanggao town had 19 administrative villages: Zhanggao, touhao, xingshengzhuang, taobutian, yinyinhe, xigouzhang, xiaoliangzi, huajiatian, Sandaogou, xiaotianzi, datongtian, qidaogou, yushutian, Lutian, 48hao, nanshaiquan, 12hao, fengzihao and guantunpu, with 108 villager groups.
As of June 2020, Zhanggao town has 10 administrative villages: Zhanggao village, No.12 village, qidaogou village, No.1 village, nanshaiquan village, Luyao village, fengzihao village, yushuyao village, guantunbao village and NO.48 village.

Zhanggao town is a shallow hilly area, which can be divided into three types: mountainous area, hilly area and tanchuan area. The highest peak of heitutai is located in yushutian village committee, with an altitude of 2035 meters; the lowest point is located in the east beach of taobutian natural village, with an altitude of 1182 meters.

Zhanggao town belongs to temperate continental monsoon climate, which is characterized by the control of Mongolian Plateau and continental low pressure in winter and summer, dry and early in spring, strong wind, short and hot in summer, high and cool in autumn, frequent frost damage, long and cold winter and frequent natural disasters. The annual average temperature is 4 ℃. The duration was 153 days below 0 ℃ and 46 days above 20 ℃. The annual average frost free period is 100-115 days. The annual average precipitation is 380-420 mm, and the rainfall is concentrated in June to August every year.

The main river in Zhanggao town is Yinyin River, which originates from xigouzhang Dawang mountain, passes xigouzhang, datongtian, xingshengzhuang and taobutian from southwest to north, leaves the country at Yinyin River, and flows into Yongding River through Dongyang River, with a drainage area of 120000 square meters and an average annual flow of 0.25 cubic meters per second.
