Erdaoqiao Town, belonging to Hangjinhou banner, Bayannaoer City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of Hangjinhou banner, adjacent to Shanba town in the East, Linhe District in the southeast, toudaoqiao town in the south, Dengkou County in the southwest, Dengkou County in the west, Shuangmiao town in the West and sandaoqiao town in the north. It covers an area of 240.24 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of two road and Bridge registered residence was 34729.
In 1958, Erdaoqiao commune was established. In 1961, Erdaoqiao commune was divided into Erdaoqiao commune, toudaoqiao commune, Chagan commune and Xiaozhao commune. In 2000, Erdaoqiao township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, Erdaoqiao town has jurisdiction over 17 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Renmin Road, Erdaoqiao town.
In 2018, Erdaoqiao town had 22 industrial enterprises, including 1 industrial enterprise above Designated Size and 8 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In 1958, Erdaoqiao commune was established.
In 1961, Erdaoqiao commune was divided into Erdaoqiao commune, toudaoqiao commune, Chagan commune and Xiaozhao commune.
In 1984, all the four communes were changed into townships. Erdaoqiao Township governs 9 villages and 50 communes.
In 2000, Erdaoqiao township was transformed into a town.
In 2001, Dongqu village and shuangpaotai village under the jurisdiction of Erdaoqiao town were merged into Dongqu village.
In 2005, 6 villages in Chagan Township and 8 villages in Xiaozhao Township were assigned to Erdaoqiao town. Yongle Village and Yonghe village in Chagan Township were merged into Yongle Village, Xingfu village and Jiaer village were merged into Jiaer village, Jiansheng village and Qiangqiang village in Xiaozhao Township were merged into Jiansheng village, Dongfanghong village and Dongfeng Village in Erdaoqiao town were merged into Dongfanghong village, Taiyangsheng village and Dongsheng Village were merged into Taiyangsheng village.

The annual average temperature is 6.9 ℃, and the rainfall is concentrated from June to September, with the most in August.

Erdaoqiao town is located in the Yellow River Basin. The main rivers are Wula River, Yangjia River, Qiyuan east channel and Qiyuan west channel (all of the above are manually excavated irrigation channels).

The main natural disasters in Erdaoqiao town are strong wind, heavy snow, frost, hail, diseases and pests, plague, etc. The most serious hailstorm occurred on June 23, 1962.
