Name and origin

Since the reform and opening up, great changes have taken place in the politics and economy of Fancheng district. With the economic development of Fancheng district and the improvement of people's living standards, the urban construction is developing towards modernization. In 1996, according to guohan [1995] No. 100 document, Fancheng district was established on the basis of the former parts of fanxi, Fandong and suburbs.
