Alongshan Town, belonging to Genhe City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is the residence of Alongshan Forestry Bureau, a large state-owned second grade forest industry enterprise. It is located in the middle of the north of Genhe City, bordering huma County, Heilongjiang Province in the East, Jinhe town in the south, Erguna City in the West and Mangui town in the north, with an administrative area of 3574 square kilometers.

In 1966, the Inner Mongolia forestry administration was established as the Alongshan Forestry Bureau; in 1968, the Revolutionary Committee of Alongshan town was formally established; in 1973, the Party committee of Alongshan town was changed, belonging to Erguna Left Banner. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town of alonshan was 17919. As of June 2020, Alongshan town has three communities under its jurisdiction.

History of construction

In 1966, the Inner Mongolia Forestry Administration Bureau was established.

In 1968, it was renamed as Heilongjiang Yakeshi forestry administration, Alongshan Forestry Bureau.

In 1978, it returned to the administrative division of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Alongshan town was moved from Niuerhe town to Alongshan town.

In 1968, the Revolutionary Committee of Alongshan town was formally established.

In 1973, it was changed to the Party committee of Alongshan Town, belonging to Erguna Left Banner.

Alongshan town is named after Alongshan river. The word "Alongshan" is Ewenki, which means "bifurcated shuipaozi".

Oaklidui mountain is located 30 kilometers northeast of Alongshan town in Genhe City, 177.5 kilometers away from Genhe City. At an altitude of 1520 meters, it is the highest peak in the northern section of the Great Xing'an Mountains. It is famous for the discovery of ancient glacial relics on the top of the mountain. The vegetation of the whole mountain is distributed in a ladder shape. The main plant community types are lichen moss, Larix gmelinii forest, Betula platyphylla, Larix gmelinii forest, littoral, Larix gmelinii, Salix mandshurica forest, Betula platyphylla shrub, Calamagrostis angustifolia meadow and Carex marsh.

Toad mountain is also known as Yinjing mountain and frog song mountain. It is located 13 kilometers northeast of Alongshan town. On a 20 meter high cone-shaped flying stone, a stone falls steadily on it. It looks like a frog squatting on the top of the stone peak. The "soft tissue" under its jaw seems to be inflated and full. Looking up at the sky, it looks attentive, making people feel as if they can hear the frog's roaring over the valley.

Luming mountain is located in aouni forest farm of Alongshan Forestry Bureau, 58 kilometers away from Alongshan town and 205.5 kilometers away from Genhe City. At the top of the mountain, there is a huge "flying stone", commonly known as the wind stone, which is about 3 meters high and 2 meters in diameter.

Ewenki rock painting is located 55 kilometers away from nanniangniaohe forest farm of Alongshan Forestry Bureau, 60 kilometers away from the town and 207.5 kilometers away from Genhe City. "Nanniangniang" is a transliteration of "Aoni" in Ewenki language, which means "painted rocks".
