Woniuhe Town, belonging to Zhalantun City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the north of Zhalantun City, adjacent to Daur nationality township in the East, Zhalantun city in the south, Olunchun nationality township in the West and Balin town in Yakeshi city in the north, with an administrative area of 1394.54 square kilometers.
In the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), halasunutuk was established, and woniu River belongs to halasunutuk. In 1987, the township of woniuhe was transformed into a town. As of May 2020, the total population of woniuhe town is 33187. As of June 2020, woniuhe town has one community and 13 administrative villages.

History of construction
In the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), halasunutuk was established, and woniu River belongs to halasunutuk.
In 1962, woniuhe and Halasu communes were established, belonging to butha banner.
In 1984, woniuhe commune was transformed into a township, belonging to Zhalantun city.
In 1987, the township of woniuhe was transformed into a town.
In July 2006, the township was withdrawn and the town was merged. Sandaoqiao village and sidaoqiao village of Halasu office were merged into woniuhe town.
