Huanghuatalasumu, belonging to Naiman Banner, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the central and southern part of Naiman Banner, adjacent to Xinzhen in the East, sharihaolai town in the south, yilongyong town in the west, daqintala town and guribanhuassumu in the north. The area is 358.24 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 15942 people had registered residence in Tara.
In October 1958, five star commune was established. The next year, it was renamed huanghuatala commune. In May 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In December 1984, the township was transformed into Sumu. In August 2001, it was merged with Taishan wood and Sumu to establish huanghuatala town. In June 2006, yellow flower Tara was restored. As of June 2020, huanghuatalasumu has 21 administrative villages.
By the end of 2018, there were 69 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in huanghuatala Sumu.
Historical evolution
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Neiman Banner Inner Mongolia Second District and shalihaolai (now sharihaolai) village.
In March 1946, shalihaolainutuk (District) was established.
In September 1948, it was changed into the Fifth District.
In August 1956, huanghuatala township of five districts was established.
In October 1958, five star commune was established. The next year, it was renamed huanghuatala commune.
In May 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.
In December 1984, the township was transformed into Sumu.

Huanghuatalasumu is located in the transition zone from sand marsh area to hilly area. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north, with an altitude of 370-450 meters. The lowest point in the territory is located in tabu daigacha, with an altitude of 369 meters; the highest point is located in the former Ulan errigegacha, with an altitude of 458 meters.

It belongs to temperate semi-arid continental climate. It is characterized by four distinct seasons, windy and rainless in spring, average wind speed of 3.85 M / s, rainy and hot in summer, cool and dry in autumn, cold in winter, and northwest wind.
