Kuohezi town

Kuehezi Town, belonging to Kulun banner, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of Kulun banner, at the intersection of Liaoning and Inner Mongolia provinces, Fumeng, Naiman and Kulun counties. It borders Baiyinhua town and Liujiazi town in the East, Fuxin County in the South and Naiman Banner in the Northwest. The area is 406.97 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 23880 people had registered residence in the town of buckwheat.

In 1955, it was designated as kuohezi township. In 1958, it was designated as the kuohezi commune. After 1968, it was renamed the Revolutionary Committee of the kuohezi commune. In 1979, it became kouhezi commune. In 1984, it was designated as kouhezi town. As of June 2020, the town has 23 administrative villages.

By the end of 2018, there were 14 industrial enterprises and 77 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in kuehezi town.

Historical evolution

In the Qing Dynasty, the original kuohezi area belonged to xiletukulun.

In 1938, houfenutuk was set up in kuehezi town.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China in 1949, houfenutuk was still established.

In 1955, it was designated as kuohezi township.

In 1958, it was designated as kouhezi commune

After 1968, it was renamed Revolutionary Committee of kuohezi commune.

In 1979, it became kouhezi commune.

In 1984, it was designated as kouhezi town.

In December 2000, the original system of Ping'an township was abolished, and all the areas under its jurisdiction except Boji village were merged into kuehezi town.
