Niandi Township, belonging to Gonghe County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located in the middle of Gonghe County, 25 kilometers away from the county seat. With its back to Nanshan of Qinghai, it is adjacent to Geshan of Jiangxi Gouxiang, qiabuqia town in the East, Shazhuyu town in the South and tanggemu town in the West. The area is 730.57 square kilometers. In 2018, 4753 people registered residence.
In 1949, it was a township under the jurisdiction of Gala district. In 1958, it was incorporated into Sanhu commune. In 1961, twenty communes were set up. In 1963, it was changed into 20 Di township. In 1965, it was incorporated into Shazhuyu township. In 1971, twenty communes were set up. In 1984, it was renamed 20 Di township. As of October 2019, 20 rural areas have jurisdiction over 5 administrative villages.
