Hailasu town
Hailasu Town, belonging to Wengniute Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the northeast of Wengniute Banner, adjacent to baiyintalasumu in the East, ashhansumu in the south, Wudan town in the west, and xilamulunsumu in Balinyou banner across the river in the north. The administrative area of hailasu town is 656.21 square kilometers. In late 2018, the population of 16874 people in the town of Hai La Su registered residence.
During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), the village was built. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1736-1795), the second largest temple in Wengniute Banner was built. In 1954, the seventh district of the banner moved to hailasu. In 1956, hailasumu was built. In 1984, it was changed into hailasu town. In 2005, gernisseng Sumu was incorporated into hailasu town. In June 2020, hailasu town governs one administrative village and four Gacha.
In 2018, there were 8 industrial enterprises and 280 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in hailasu town.

Due to the difference of terrain, there is an east-west plain along the Bank of Xilamulun in the north of the terrain, and most of the cultivated land is concentrated in this area; the landform in the south is complex, with fixed dunes, semi fixed dunes, mobile dunes and sandy meadow mixed, and the sandy land area accounts for about 70% of the total land area of the town.
