Wenzhong town

Wenzhong Town, belonging to Hongshan District of Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Hongshan District, bordering Yuanbaoshan District in the East, karaqin banner in the southwest and suburban township in the north. The area is 313.33 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 35952 people registered residence.

In 1993, the suburb of Chifeng City was renamed Songshan District of Chifeng City. In January 2002, Songshan District Township Institutional Reform, the abolition of the territory of three wells, liutiaogou, dalianggoumen three townships, Hejing established Wenzhong town. In June 2020, Wenzhong town has nine administrative villages.

Historical evolution

In April 1958, two townships, Shilipu and liutiaogou, were merged into Sanyanjing township.

In May 1959, three communes, Sanyanjing commune, dalianggoumen commune and halabtu commune, were established.

In April 1960, dalianggoumen commune was merged into Sanyanjing commune.

In September 1962, Chifeng County of Chifeng City was divided into three groups, and Sanyanjing commune was assigned to Chifeng county.

In May 1966, the two communes of liutiaogou and dalianggoumen were analyzed from Sanyanjing commune

In February 1968, the communes of Sanyanjing, liutiaogou and dalianggoumen in the town successively set up revolutionary committees.

In October 1980, all communes were changed from revolutionary committees to management committees.

In January 1984, Chifeng county was changed into a suburb of Chifeng City, and the management committees of communes in Chifeng City were changed into township (town) people's governments. Meanwhile, halabtu township was assigned to Yuanbaoshan District of Chifeng City.

In 1993, the suburb of Chifeng City was renamed Songshan District of Chifeng City.

In January 2002, the Township Institutional Reform in Songshan District abolished the three townships of Sanyanjing, liutiaogou and dalianggoumen, and established Wenzhong town with the people's Government in Wenzhong village.

In October 2005, Songshan District was transformed into Hongshan District.

In June 2020, Wenzhong town has nine administrative villages: Wenzhong village, heigoumen village, Sanyanjing village, xishuiquan village, dongsanyanjing village, sandaojingzi village, erdaojingzi village, nandayingzi village and liutiaogou village. The people's Government of Wenzhong town is stationed in Wenzhong village.
