Kanerzi Township
Kanerzi Township, belonging to Qitai County, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the south of the county. It is adjacent to wumachang Kazak Township in the East, 109 and 110 communities of Qitai central Tuancheng, Sixth Agricultural Division of XPCC in the South and West, and Xidi town in the North. The area is 48.98 square kilometers. In 2018, 6113 people registered residence.
In 1953, it belonged to qinggeda township of five districts. In 1955, it belonged to a district and was renamed kanerzi township. In 1958, it belonged to Dongfeng commune and was renamed kanerzi brigade. In 1961, it was incorporated into the Xidi commune and renamed the anti revisionist brigade. In 1975, the name of kanerzi brigade was restored. In 1980, kanerzi commune was established by merging Xidi commune forest farm and county improved seed breeding farm. In 1984, it was changed into kanerzi township. In October 2019, kanerzi Township governs four administrative villages and one living area.
In 2018, there were 11 industrial enterprises in kanerzi Township, and 2 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
