Liaoyuan town
Liaoyuan township is located in the southwest of Chongzhou City, adjacent to Qiquan town and Anren town of Chongzhou city in the East, Sujia town of Dayi city in the south, Jinyuan town of Dayi County in the west, Wangchang Town, Wangchang construction site and Longxing town in the north. The township covers an area of 27.9 square kilometers. There are 15 administrative villages, including administrative villages, huatou, Zile, Yongquan, Zizhu, Shuangta, Qijiang, Shiyan, Zhishui, Jingquan, Huilong, Shaba, Bishan, blissful and Qidong. After the reform of village group management system in May 2005, two communities were established (Anshun community governs three villages of administrative, Qijiang and Shiyan; Chongde community governs two villages of water control and Jingquan). Six new villages were established: huatou village, Zile Village (governing the original Zile village and Yongquan Village), Zizhu Village (governing the original Zizhu village and Shuangta Village), Huilong village, Bishan Village (governing the original Shaba village and Bishan Village), Qidong Village (governing the original Jile village and Qidong Village), totally 161 villager groups. The total number of households in the township is 6646, with a total population of 24871, including 524 non-agricultural population, with a total cultivated area of 21213.49 mu. It has abundant water resources: Caihua River (Sanheyan branch canal), qiangongyan branch canal, qianluogou branch canal and juehuangyan branch canal run through the whole territory. Liaoyuan Township belongs to the re deposited yellow mud flat bar lacustrine deposit with pH value of 6.8-7.5. It mainly produces rice, wheat, barley and rape.
Evolution of organizational system
Liaoyuan township was formerly known as Anshun township. In May 1948, the Communist Party of China sent people to Anshun for secret activities, and then changed it to Liaoyuan Township with the idea of setting a prairie fire. The Township People's government was established in May 1951, and Liaoyuan township was established by merging Anshun and Chongde townships in February 1956. In January 1962, Liaoyuan commune was divided into Anshun commune and Chongde commune. In October 1980, Anshun commune was renamed Liaoyuan commune, and Liaoyuan township was established in 1981. In October 1992, it merged with Longxing and established Longxing town with Anshun office. In October 1998, Liaoyuan township was restored to its original division. In September 2004, Liaoyuan township was established by merging with Chongde township.
Economics
Liaoyuan township is 17 kilometers away from the county seat, with cement roads running through the whole territory and convenient transportation. It belongs to an agricultural township. The township party committee and government, based on the working idea of "building a base, focusing on construction and coordinating urban and rural development", adopt the agricultural industrialization management mode of "base, enterprise and farmer". Relying on Shuxi pickle factory of Chengdu Yiyuan Food Co., Ltd., Lvbang company has successfully built 4000 mu mushroom planting base, 2000 mu vegetable base, 1000 mu precocious pear base and 5000 beef cattle breeding base. It further broadens the market share of Chengdu Feilong battery company and Chengdu Julong battery company. In 2005, the gross national product was 293.06 million yuan, the added value of township enterprises was 60.69 million yuan, the total agricultural output value was 112.46 million yuan, and the industrial and commercial tax revenue was 600000 yuan.

Liaoyuan township has a long history. Zizhu village under its jurisdiction has the prehistoric site of Chengdu Plain - Zizhu ancient city announced by the State Council. Liaoyuan township is the revolutionary base of Chongzhou city. The first party branch of the Communist Party of China in Chongzhou city was born in Liaoyuan. It is the chongdaxin guerrilla base. In 2000, Anshun underground party activity room, the patriotic education base of Chongzhou City, was established. All the government organs, units and schools in Chongzhou city visited in batches, and received more than 2000 people each year. Liaoyuan township is ready to rely on "red" resources to develop "red" tourism. It is adjacent to Anren Town, an ancient town in Southwest China, which can drive radiation and develop tourism economy. Liaoyuan township has two nine-year compulsory schools, six kindergartens, two health centers, one post and telecommunications office, two power supply offices and two credit cooperatives. There are mobile, Unicom, PHS and other facilities.
