Fengji town

Fengji town is located in the northeast of Shangcheng County, 8 kilometers away from the county. It is named after Fengji Township, the township government's residence. It is adjacent to Liji Township in the East, suxianshi and jingantai Township in the south, Chengguan town in the West and hefengqiao Township in the north. The whole Township is 12 kilometers long from east to west and 8 kilometers wide from north to south.

Historical evolution

It belonged to taishuili in 1469, Chengkang District in 1911, Chicheng District in 1932, Zhongshan town and Xiakou Township in 1941, Chengguan and Xiakou District in 1948, three districts (Fengji) and ten districts (hefengqiao) in 1951, Chaoying commune in 1958, Fengji commune in 1962 and Fengji Township in 1983. Fengji, formerly known as "Fengji", was renamed "Fengji" in June 2010 when it was approved by the people's Government of Henan Province to withdraw the township and build a town. It is a hilly ridge between shallow mountains. The terrain is high in the southwest and low in the northeast. The hillside is gentle and the hills are undulating. The altitude is 100-350 meters. The soil is yellow brown soil, coarse bony yellow brown soil, yellow cinnamon soil and fluvo aquic soil. The main mountains are Qingshan (Yingzui mountain), Gaohu mountain, Guzhen mountain and Hengshan at the junction of sigudun township, They all converge into Dongsha River from south to North in Fengji village, with a length of 13.5 km. Economic industry

Fengji town has superior natural conditions, rich in wheat, rice, chestnut, medicinal materials, stone village, bamboo, tung oil, tea, Zhucao. The main local products are salted duck, sesame oil, tea and so on. In 2007, Fengji town completed a GDP of 178 million yuan, including 65.9 million yuan for the primary industry, 69.1 million yuan for the secondary industry, and 43 million yuan for the tertiary industry; 90 million yuan for the fixed assets investment of the whole society; 2.558 million yuan for the fiscal revenue; and 3300 yuan for the per capita income of farmers.

Xinyang Yeji highway (south line) runs through the countryside, with a length of 15 km. Hefeng bridge sigudun highway crosses the rural area. Fengji Wangji Zhangzhai Rural Circular highway runs around the northwest of the rural area.
