YAOGOU Township
Qingshuihe County, a town under the jurisdiction of Qingshuihe County, Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of Qingshuihe County, adjacent to Chengguan town in the East, Shuiquan township of Pianguan County in Shanxi Province in the south, Xuejiawan town of Zhungeer banner in Ordos City across the Yellow River in the West, Honghe town in the north, 29 kilometers away from the county, with a total administrative area of 237.69 square kilometers.
In January 1953, the fourth district was set up in Kuantan village. YAOGOU Township belongs to the fourth district. In 2006, shantaizi township was merged into YAOGOU township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Yao Gou township was 18958. In 2019, YAOGOU Township governs 14 administrative villages, and the people's government is stationed in YAOGOU village.

History of construction
In January 1953, the fourth district was set up in Kuantan village. YAOGOU Township belongs to the fourth district.
In 1958, YAOGOU commune was established.
In 1968, it was renamed the Revolutionary Committee of the commune.
In 1980, it was renamed the people's commune management committee.
In 1984, YAOGOU commune was transformed into YAOGOU township.
In 2001, xiaogangfang township was merged into YAOGOU township.
In 2006, shantaizi township was merged into YAOGOU township.
