Linjiang Town
Linjiang Town, subordinate to Kaizhou District of Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Kaizhou district. It borders Nanmen town and Changsha Town in the southeast, Tieqiao town and Nanya town in the southwest, Zhonghe town in the northwest, Zhuxi town and Jiulongshan town in the northeast. It is 18 kilometers away from the people's Government of Kaizhou District, with a total area of 123 square kilometers.
In the northern and Southern Dynasties and the Song Dynasty, Xinpu county was set up, and the Wei Department was set up in Linjiang; in October 1992, the district was withdrawn, and Linjiang town was established from the original Lindong Township, Mingxing Township, Changqing Township, and Linjiang town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Linjiang town was 104293. As of December 2020, Linjiang town has jurisdiction over 7 communities, 22 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in the main street community of Sichuan.
In 2019, the GDP of Linjiang town will reach 3.47 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 18.8%; the per capita disposable income of urban residents will be 36782 yuan, and that of rural residents will be 19000 yuan.
History of construction
In the northern and Southern Dynasties and Song Dynasty, Xinpu county was set up, and the Wei Department was set up in Linjiang;
In the Western Wei Dynasty, Xiliu county was set up, and the Cheng Department was set up in Linjiang.
At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, it was set as Linjiang city;
At the end of Qing Dynasty, it was Linjiang town.
In April 1950, it was the Fifth District.
In October 1958, it was changed into Linjiang commune.
In April 1959, Linjiang commune was divided into six communes: Jiulong commune, Mingyue commune, Taiping commune, Changling commune, Linjiang commune and Zhuxi commune.
In September 1961, Linjiang commune established Jiulong commune.
In April 1984, Linjiang commune was changed into Linjiang township. Linjiang District governs seven townships including Mingxing Township, Taiyuan Township, Lindong Township, Shiwan Township, Zhuxi Township, Changqing Township, Dahai Township and one town of Linjiang town.
In October 1992, the district was withdrawn and Linjiang town was established from the former Lindong Township, Mingxing Township, Changqing Township and Linjiang town.
In August 2005, Taiyuan township was merged into Linjiang town.

At the end of 2011, Linjiang town has five communities, namely Zhengjie, Chuanzhu street, Dongyue street, Xinglong Street and Qinghe street, 24 administrative villages, namely Mingyue, Longqiao, Tong'an, Xinba, Shiquan, Fuyang, Hongxing, Hekou, maoya, Sanxing, baichi, Ma'an, Qingzhu, Qixing, Zishui, Anle, Wan'an, Hesheng, Qingyang, sanxiu, Xiangshi, Yingtian, Fude and Tongle, and 46 resident groups 179 villager groups.
As of June 2020, Linjiang town has 5 communities and 24 administrative villages: Zhengjie community, chuanzhujie community, Dongyue street community, xinglongjie community, Qinghe community, Mingyue village, Longqiao village, Tong'an village, Xinba village, Shiquan village, Fuyang village, Hongxing Village, Hekou village, maoya village, Sanxing village, baichi village, Ma'an village, Qingzhu village, Qixing village, Zishui village, Anle village and Wan'an village Village, Hesheng village, Qingyang village, sanxiu village, Xiangshi village, Yingtian village, Fude village, Tongle village, the main street community of the town people's Government in Sichuan.
In December 2020, Wan'an village and Hongxing Village of Linjiang town will be removed from their villages and set up communities. So far, Linjiang town has jurisdiction over 7 communities and 22 villages.
