Yangliuqing town

Yangliuqing town belongs to Xiqing District of Tianjin city. It is the political, economic and cultural center of Xiqing District. It is located in the center of the capital and the west of Jincheng. It is adjacent to Zhongbei town and Xiyingmen street in the East, Zhangjiawo town in the west, Xinkou town in the southwest, Wuqing District in the northwest and Beichen District in the north. In 2017, with a total area of 6517 hectares and a total population of 161247, it is the largest township in Tianjin and Bohai Rim Economic Zone. Yangliuqing town has a long history and profound culture. Yangliuqing town is rich in folk art.

On May 24, 2018, Yangliuqing town was selected as one of the top 50 small towns with the most beautiful characteristics. On January 9, 2019, Yangliuqing town was selected into the list of "hometown of Chinese folk culture and art" from 2018 to 2020 by virtue of Yangliuqing woodblock New Year pictures. In 2018, the national health county (township) was reconfirmed. In November 2020, Yangliuqing town was selected into the sixth national list of civilized villages and towns.

Evolution of organizational system

Yangliuqing town was named Liukou at the beginning and then Liukou. Liukou town was established in 1214, the second year of Jin Zhenhu, which was the beginning of its administrative establishment. It was renamed Yangliuqing town at the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty. Yangliuqing town was built in Ming Dynasty.

Before the Qing Dynasty, Yangliuqing town was subordinate to Zhangwu, Pingshu, Lucheng, Wuqing, Jinghai, Tianjin and other counties. During the period of the Republic of China, it was subordinate to Tianjin county. In 1949, it was a town directly under the central government of Hebei Province, belonging to Tianjin special region.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was successively subordinate to Hebei Province, Tianjin special district of Hebei Province, Jinghai County, Nankai District of Tianjin city, and Xijiao District of Tianjin city (now renamed Xiqing District).

Yangliuqing commune was established in 1958. In 1962, the western suburb was established and Yangliuqing was assigned to the western suburb. It was built in 1987.

The scenic spots are under construction, the government is making efforts to plan, and Yuanbao island is under construction.
