History of construction
In 1909, the first year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty, Dongguan town was set up.
In 1920, Chengxiang town was established; in 1937, Guanyin and Taiji were established; in 1940, Chengxiang Town, Guanyin and Taiji were established.
In 1951, after Dongguan town was merged into Xicheng Town, Chengguan town was named as the first district.
In 1956, it was changed into a county town.
In 1981, Chengguan town was renamed Longgang town.
In June 2002, Longgang street was set up in Longgang Town and Chengnan Township.
