Zhengda town

Zhengda town is a place name in Miao language. It is located in the east of Songtao Miao Autonomous County, adjacent to luochaojing Township, Fenghuang County, Hunan Province in the East, Panxin town in the west, Daxing Town in the south, Changping Town and laershan town in Fenghuang County, Hunan Province in the north. The people's Government of the town is located in Zhengda Town, Daxing Town in the south, Changping Town and laershan town in Fenghuang County, Hunan Province in the north. Township government is located in zhengdaying, 60 kilometers away from the county. The total area of the town is 104.5 square kilometers, with 18 248 mu of arable land. The town has 20 villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 5961 households and 25834 people. The Miao nationality accounts for more than 75% of the total population, which is a typical minority inhabited township.

On July 29, 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name Zhengda town as a national health township for the period of 2017-2019.

The Wayao Flower Drum Art in Tongren is one of the only two selected projects in the county. There is the Miao King City, a provincial scenic spot under development.

The total sown area of crops in the township is 67900 mu; the total sown area of autumn and winter crops is 21400 mu, including wheat 2100 mu, potato 5200 mu, coarse cereals 0500 mu, rape 5500 mu, vegetables 2700 mu, forage 0700 mu, green manure 4700 mu, and tobacco field 35000 Mu reserved. The total grain yield in summer is 1635.7 tons, and the rape yield is 358.75 tons. The popularization rate of improved varieties and methods is more than 85%, and the coverage rate of crops planted in autumn and winter is more than 90% (except for winter soaking fields). Among them, 100% are planted along the highway and in Datian dam, and 100% are ploughed in flat soil and winter soaking fields.

2. In 2007, 1500 mu of flue-cured tobacco was planted, 5000 mu of Evodia rutaecarpa was planted in the township, 5000 mu of tea industry was developed, and 1300 mu of economic fruit forest was developed.

3. The construction of breeding community has been implemented in Xinqiao and Changzheng villages. At the end of 2007, there were 14082 live pigs on hand, 12140 out of hand, 6038 cattle on hand, 755 out of hand, 6279 sheep on hand, 6209 out of hand, 40858 poultry on hand and 36426 out of hand.

4. Through attracting investment, Zhejiang Wuyi Jiasheng Organic Tea Co., Ltd. was recruited to lease and contract 2700 mu of Wuling mountain tea farm. At present, 3.5 million yuan is being invested in the transformation of the original Wuling mountain tea farm, the new plant has been built, the advanced processing equipment has been purchased, and the tea industry in the township has been revitalized, reaching 2 million yuan in 2007.

Miaowang city is a place with rich history and culture, rich ethnic customs and unique natural landscape, and its tourism industry is developing rapidly. Built in the early years of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, the main city covers an area of about 4 square kilometers, which is divided into East city and west city.
