Dongxing town
Dongxing Town, Dongxing town of Fangchenggang City, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located on the southeastern tip of the Chinese mainland coastline, Southeast of the Beibu Gulf, the west border with Vietnam, and the north facing one hundred thousand mountains, one of the most convenient channels for Guangxi and China to Vietnam and Southeast Asia. The administrative area is 217.82 square kilometers.
On June 26, 1965, Dongxing Autonomous County was transferred to Qinzhou District of Guangxi Province. In November 1980, Dongxing town was separated from Dongxing commune and established a township level town. On April 29, 1996, Dongxing City (county level) was established and managed by Fangchenggang City. By the end of 2018, the population of registered residence in Dongxing town was 81551. As of June 2020, Dongxing town has jurisdiction over 7 communities and 8 administrative villages. The town people's government is stationed at 31 Jiaoyu road.
At the end of 2011, the fiscal revenue of Dongxing town was 460 million yuan, including 100 million yuan of national tax, 360 million yuan of local tax, seven commercial banks and 305.22 million yuan of resident savings. By the end of 2018, there were 132 industrial enterprises in Dongxing Town, including 15 industrial enterprises above Designated Size and 122 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 535, the first year of Liang Datong in the Southern Dynasty, Huangzhou was set up to govern the southeast of Dongxing City.
In 598, Huangzhou was changed to Yuzhou.
In 621, Yuzhou and Haiping county were restored; in 628, Yuzhou was abolished; in 638, Haiping county was abolished; in 757, Ninghai County was renamed Anhai county.
In 1887, Fangcheng county was established.
On March 26, 1957, it was set up in 100000 Shantong Autonomous County to govern this town, belonging to Hepu special district.
On March 20, 1959, Dongxing Autonomous County was transferred to Zhanjiang District of Guangdong Province.
On June 26, 1965, Dongxing Autonomous County was transferred to Qinzhou District of Guangxi Province.
In 1971, Dongxing Autonomous County was transferred to Qinzhou.
On December 15, 1978, Dongxing Autonomous County was renamed Fangcheng Autonomous County.
In November 1980, Dongxing town was separated from Dongxing commune and established a township level town.
In November, 1984, the village of SA in Dongxing commune was changed into Songbai township.
In 1991, Songbai township was merged into Dongxing town.
On April 29, 1996, Dongxing City (county level) was established, which was managed by Fangchenggang City.
