Historical evolution
Nanping was called Yangdong in ancient times. The name of Nanping changed a lot in the past two thousand years. It began to be called Nanping in the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty. according to archaeological investigation, a Neolithic site has been found in Nanping Town, which can trace the history of Nanping to 5000 years ago. In Dayu's time, today's Jiuzhaigou County (including Nanping Town) belongs to the northwest of Liangzhou. According to the annals of Nanping County, from the Shang Dynasty, the Western Zhou Dynasty, the spring and Autumn period, the Warring States period to the Qin Dynasty (about the 16th century bc-206 BC), today's Nanping town belongs to Diqiang. In the second year of the first year of emperor Ping of the Western Han Dynasty (Ad 2), Guanghan county (now northern Sichuan) was set up in Yizhou, under the jurisdiction of 13 counties, of which Diandi road is located in today's Jiuzhaigou County. It is located in xiaanle village, Nanping town. Diandi road is the earliest administrative organization in the history of Nanping Town and Jiuzhaigou County. This fully shows that Jiuzhaigou County and its surrounding minority areas were included in the territory of the Western Han Dynasty as early as 2000 years ago. In the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220 A.D.), the territory belonged to baimaqiang, the state of Guanghan in the north of Lashi tribe in Yizhou. During the Three Kingdoms period, it belonged to Diandi, Yinping County, Yizhou, Shuhan. The Western Wei Dynasty set up Deng Zhicheng and built ningzhou. In the first year of Emperor Wu of the Northern Zhou Dynasty (566 A.D.), Mochang, the son of Tuguhun Khan and the king of Longgan, led the people to submit to the Northern Zhou Dynasty. In the Northern Zhou Dynasty, it was Fuzhou (now Huanglong township of Songpan) and set up the Fuzhou governor's office. In 587 A.D., Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty attacked and defended the state of Dengzhou and replaced it with Fuzhou. Fuzhou was moved from Huanglong township of Songpan county to xiaanle village of Nanping town of Jiuzhaigou County (formerly known as shuifuzhou). It was Fuzhou in Sui, Tang, yuan and Ming Dynasties. The city walls were destroyed by the rebellion of "emperor Pana" in the early Qing Dynasty. In the third year of Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, the imperial court decided to set up nanpingying of songpanting. Because of the destruction of Fuzhou City, it chose another city to be located in nanpingba, which is to the south of Fuzhou and at the foot of Xishan Mountain. It was built in the seventh year of Yongzheng reign. The name of Nanping has changed a lot in the past two thousand years. Since then, the name of "Nanping" has been widely used in history. On December 16, 1949, Nanping was peacefully liberated. Nanping County was built in 1953 and is located in today's Nanping town. Nanping County was renamed Jiuzhaigou County in 1998. In November 2013, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, Jiuzhaigou County abolished Yongle Town, Yongfeng Township and Anle Township, and established Nanping town. The town people's government was stationed in Binhe Road, Nanping Town, and governed the administrative areas of Yongle Town, Yongfeng Township and Anle township.
