Dongsheng Town
Dongsheng Town, subordinate to Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the northeast of Jingyuan County, adjacent to Wuhe Township in the East, Wangjiashan town in Pingchuan District in the southwest and south, Beitan Township in the northwest, and Xiangshan Township in Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the north, with a total administrative area of 285.68 square meters.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to dalachi Township Office; in 1983, it was changed to Dongsheng township. In August 2016, Dongsheng township was withdrawn to build a town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Dongsheng town was 24451. In June 2020, Dongsheng Town governs 10 administrative villages.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Dongsheng town was 3600 yuan. In 2018, Dongsheng town had 14 industrial enterprises and 20 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to dalachi Township Office.
In 1949, Canglong township was established.
In 1958, it was changed into Canglong commune.
In 1963, under the jurisdiction of jiazhaike District Office, it was changed into Dongsheng commune.
In 1983, it was changed to Dongsheng township.
In August 2016, Dongsheng township was withdrawn to build a town.
