Jinshan Township, belonging to Lishu County, Siping City, Jilin Province, is located in the middle of Lishu County. It borders Xiaochengzi town in the East, Wanfa town and Shuanghe Township in the south, quanyanling Township in the West and Liaohe agricultural reclamation management area across the river in the north. The area is 128.98 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 22526 people registered residence in Jinshan Township.
In 1956, it belonged to the five districts of Xiaochengzi and three townships including sanhebao. In May 1961, Jinshan commune was established. In November 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. As of June 2020, Jinshan Township has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages.
By the end of 2018, there were 5 industrial enterprises in Jinshan Township and 57 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
At the end of Ming Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of the Mongolian king Darhan, and later belonged to Renshu village.
In 1948, it belonged to five districts of Xiaochengzi, six districts of yushutai and seven districts of Gujiazi.
In 1956, it belonged to the five districts of Xiaochengzi and three townships including sanhebao.
In May 1961, Jinshan commune was established.
In November 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.
