Historical evolution
In October 1949, the people's Republic of China was founded. In 1950, the county people's government adjusted its administrative divisions to three administrative villages, 96 administrative villages and Chengguan First Street and second street. At that time, Shizhuang township was subordinate to three districts with shangjin'an village. In April 1956, the district system was withdrawn and 13 townships were set up under the jurisdiction of 128 agricultural production cooperatives.
