Taotangyu Township

Taotangyu Township, formerly known as yanjiazhuang Township, was renamed taotangyu Township in 2001 after the township was withdrawn and merged. Qupo village, guandui village and Chengzhuang village of shangleping Township were under the jurisdiction of taotangyu township. The township now governs 27 administrative villages, 36 natural villages, 4474 households, more than 19000 people, with a cultivated area of more than 33000 mu.

Taotangyu Township, located in the southeast corner of Huozhou City, has jurisdiction over 27 administrative villages, 36 natural villages and 24 rural Party branches, with a total area of 64 square kilometers, cultivated land area of more than 36000 mu, forest land area of 170000 mu, population of 21128 people and more than 5300 households. Its leading industries are breeding and planting. It is the breeding base determined by the municipal Party committee and the municipal government and the key vegetable production area in the city. 1. Geography

Taotangyu township is located in the southeast of Huozhou City, 900 meters above sea level, 20 kilometers away from the city. It is bounded by Huoshan in the East and Guxian in the west, adjacent to Xinzhi town in the west, YaoYuan village in Yuanchuan township of Hongdong County in the south, Dazhang town and licao town in the north. It is 14.5 km long from east to west, 8.5 km long from south to north, with a total area of 123.22 square kilometers.

2. Transportation

Taotangyu township has convenient transportation. The Dayun Expressway runs across the township from north to south, with a total length of 10.9 km. The expressway service station is located in Liujiazhuang village. Yiping road and Xinxian road are connected with Dazhang Town, Xinzhi town and Hongdong county respectively. 16 of the 27 villages have oil roads.
