Shahe Town is located in the southwest of Ganyu District, Lianyungang City. It governs 52 administrative villages and 82 natural villages, with a total population of 98214 (in 2017), a total area of 132.52 square kilometers and cultivated land of 119000 mu. Shahe Town is a key town in Jiangsu Province, a new model small town in Jiangsu Province, and one of the first batch of key industrial satellite towns open to the outside world.

Shahe Town is located in the southwest of Ganyu District, Lianyungang City, connecting Lianyungang, the east bridgehead of the new Eurasian Continental Bridge in the south, and Shilianghe reservoir, the largest artificial river in Jiangsu Province in the West. It is one of the first batch of satellite towns open to the outside world in Jiangsu Province and a key provincial central town.
