Taijitun Town, belonging to Nanpiao District, Huludao City, Liaoning Province, is located in the east of Nanpiao District, adjacent to tanghezi, Taihe District, Jinzhou City in the East, hongluoxian town and Jinxing town across the river in the south, huangtukan Township in the West and Banshigou Township, Linghai city in the north, with an administrative area of 80.73 square kilometers.

In 1961, it was taijitun township; on May 26, 1987, taijitun township was removed from township to town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Tai Ji Tun Town was 18042. As of June 2020, taijitun town has jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages.

History of construction

In 1961, it was the village of Taiji.

On May 26, 1987, taijitun township was removed from the township and built into a town.

There are seven rivers in taijitun Town, the longer one is the Nuer River, which starts from the wasteland in the West and flows into the Xiaoling River in Jinzhou through xiaohuangdi, yingfangzi, mengpozi, Bei'an and jingkouzi, with a flow of 15 km. The other six rivers belong to seasonal rivers, which flow when mountain torrents break out in rainy season, and dry rivers in the rest time.

On June 9, 1990, taijitun town was hit by hail disaster, causing serious losses. In 30 minutes, the rainfall was 40 mm, the hail depth was more than 16 cm, nine villages were seriously affected, 9500 mu of farmland was damaged, two people were washed away by the flood, and the economic loss reached 3.2 million yuan.

On April 10, 1993, taijitun town suffered a heavy snow storm. Because it was early spring, only the production of greenhouse vegetables was seriously damaged, but it had little impact on the field. More than 100 telephone poles fell down in the town, and telephone communication was basically interrupted.
