Heishui Town, subordinate to Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the north of Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, bordering Maoba Township in the East, Taohuayuan street in the south, Huatian Township and Shuangquan Township in the west, and Apengjiang town in the north. It is 28 kilometers away from the government of Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, with a total area of 213 square kilometers.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the territory of Heishui town was Heishui town; in August 2001, Heishui town was replaced by Heishui town. By the end of 2018, the population of Hei Shui town registered residence was 22787. As of June 2020, eight administrative villages are under the jurisdiction of Heishui Town, and the town people's government is located in Heishui village.

History of construction
Heishui town is named after the town government's residence in Heishui village.
In 1912, Heishui township was built. In 1941, Heishui township was renamed Yanshui township.
In May 1951, Yanshui township was divided into four townships: Heishui, Xiaojing, Sujia and Erlong.
In July 1958, Xiaojing, Sujia and Erlong were merged into Heishui Township, which was transformed into Heishui commune.
In October 1983, Heishui commune was changed into Heishui township.
In August 2001, Heishui township was changed from township to town.
