Yangshan town
Yang Shan town, belonging to Chaoyang County, Chaoyang City, Liaoning, is located in the south central part of Chaoyang County, east of the village, and adjacent to Shangde Zhi township. It connects to the four home towns in the West and North, and the twin temple towns in the north and south, with an area of 191.53 square kilometers. Up to 2018, the registered residence population was 38518.
In the early Republic of China, it was the third district of Chaoyang County. In 1950, Yangshan was divided into 12 districts. In February 1956, the district changed to township. At the end of 1999, Dongsheng township was incorporated into Yangshan Town, with 29 administrative villages and 29 village committees under its jurisdiction. On December 31, 2011, the whole town merged into 20 villages again. As of June 2020, Yangshan town has 20 administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 6 industrial enterprises and 44 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Yangshan town.
Historical evolution
In the early Republic of China, it was the third district of Chaoyang County.
In 1936, the Fifth District (belonging to 20 families) was changed.
In June 1947, another Chaoyang County was built in the north of Daling River. The former Chaoyang County was changed to Chaonan county.
On May 8, 1948, Chaonan county was renamed Yangshan County.
In 1950, Yangshan was divided into 12 districts.
In February 1956, the district changed to township.
In May 1966, the government and society were integrated into one management system, which was called Yangshan commune.
In 1983, Yangshan commune was transformed into Yangshan township.
At the end of 1999, Dongsheng township was incorporated into Yangshan Town, with 29 administrative villages and 29 village committees under its jurisdiction.
On December 31, 2011, the whole town merged into 20 villages again.
