Liucheng Street

Liucheng street, formerly known as Yufu town or Liucheng Town, is located in the central urban area of Wenjiang District, the hinterland of Chengdu Plain in Sichuan Basin. It is the territory of Yufu kingdom in ancient Shu more than 4000 years ago. Because Yufu King built the capital, he ordered the planting of willows as a national boundary. Yangliuyiyi, the ancient capital of Yufu, is known as "Liucheng" (now the Yufu city site in the north of Wenjiang city). After Yufu's subjugation, Yufu city still welcomed spring with thousands of willows every year. In Sui Dynasty, Wanchun county was built, which was called Liucheng by the people. Due to the migration of waterways, the county moved to the south, which is now Liucheng. In Tang Dynasty, it was renamed Wenjiang.

The custom of planting willows is very popular in the county. The last large-scale planting of willows was in the overhaul period of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty. More than 700 willows were planted along the embankment of HaoGou around the city. The reputation of Liucheng has been spread for 4000 years. The region has Jiangan River, Yangliu River, Fengxi River, combat readiness canal and other ecological water systems. It covers an area of 23 square kilometers, including 15 communities.

As the core area of Wenjiang District, Liucheng street has obvious location advantages, strong development of service industry, profound cultural heritage, excellent ecological brand and high quality of citizen civilization. Nanpu Road, East Street, West Street, Laifeng road and other blocks have distinctive characteristics. Development history

For a long time, Liucheng town has been the political center of Western Sichuan and Wenjiang.
