Dongwang township is adjacent to Geza Township in the East, Nixi Township in the south, Derong County in Sichuan Province in the West and Xiangcheng County in Sichuan Province in the north. Among them, Tricholoma matsutake has the highest economic value, with an annual output of more than 120 tons. However, due to the inconvenient transportation and long transportation distance, the high-quality Tricholoma matsutake did not get the economic benefits.
As early as 2000 years ago, there were human activities in Dongwang Township, and it has reached a fairly high level of education.
