Old town
The old town, a town under the jurisdiction of Changtu County, Tieling City, Liaoning Province, is located 9 kilometers west of Changtu County, adjacent to Changtu town in the East and south, Liangzhongqiao town and Daxing Township in the west, toudao town in the northwest, Taiping Township in the north and Changtu town in the Northeast, with an administrative area of 112 square kilometers.
Before 1962, it was the seat of Changtu County People's government; in 1981, it was renamed Changtu old town. In 1991, the old urban and rural areas were merged into the old towns. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in old towns was 41233. As of June 2020, the old town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 13 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total revenue of old towns was 15.92 million yuan, an increase of 11.6% over the previous year. In 2018, there were 22 industrial enterprises in the old towns, including one above scale and 46 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Before 1962, it was the seat of Changtu County People's government.
In 1962, Changtu County People's government moved to Changtu Station and changed its name to old town.
In 1981, it was renamed the old town of Changtu.
